Amy McGill is the associate provost for integration strategies. Reporting to the Middlebury provost, she works as a bridge-builder across Middlebury programs, identifying and pursuing opportunities for collaboration within a distributed global organization.

Based at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey since 2007, she also serves as the point person for the Institute’s participation in planning and assessment initiatives, and helps to facilitate optimal working relationships between MIIS programs and the anchor functions that support them. In addition, at MIIS she oversees the Digital Learning Commons, a campus hub for curricular technology, pedagogical innovation, peer-to-peer teaching and learning, and human-centered design.

Amy came to Middlebury in 1986, first overseeing operations and communications for the Language Schools. She served as the associate director and then director of the Center for Educational Technology, a technology integration project for liberal arts colleges, based at Middlebury and funded by the Mellon Foundation. She has an AB degree in Government from Harvard and a professional MA for teachers of social sciences from Rivier College.
