Associate Director of Graduate Alumni Engagement
Breanna is a member of the Alumni and Parent Programs team, with the primary responsibility for executing graduate alumni events both regionally and on the Monterey campus. She creates and manages content-rich engagement opportunities and programming support to help strengthen all graduate alumni connections and support for the Institute, Language Schools and Bread Loaf School of English.
A native to the Monterey Peninsula, Breanna grew up in Pacific Grove and graduated Honors with Distinction from California State University, Monterey Bay with a B.A. in Cinematic Arts and Technology. In addition to being an award-winning sound designer, she has spent the past decade building a highly successful career in communications, event planning, fundraising and community engagement for a variety of area non-profit organizations, businesses and attractions via the Pacific Grove and Carmel Chambers of Commerce.
Breanna is coming to MIIS from St. Mary’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Pacific Grove where she was the Office Manager and Parish Administrator for the past five and half years. She was most recently featured on the front page of the Monterey County Herald, Monterey County Weekly, and Cedar Street Times, when she successfully utilized viral social media marketing for St. Mary’s largest outreach program. In 24 hours she obtained more donations than the organization had ever received in its 50+ years of operation.
With long-standing working relationships in the community, she has also provided marketing, public relations and/or event assistance to significant area organizations such as the Monterey County Film Commission, Carmel International Film Festival, Monarch Film Festival, Central Coast Senior Services, HARA Motion Pictures, and F.T. Renner Company.
