I am passionate about languages, their history and evolution, linguistic quality, the multilingual web, linguistics, and learning languages.
I have 20 years’ experience in different fields of the language industry (MT, software localization, language teaching, terminology, and translation). I have lived and worked in four countries and thrive in an international environment.
In the past ten years, I have been driving end-to-end localization programs for major global product releases for a number of Silicon Valley companies. I have been a key contributor in defining globalization strategies and evangelizing internationalization and localization best practices in the product design and release process. I love helping individuals and organizations overcome language barriers through communication, technology and common-sense solutions.
I am also a regular speaker at international Localization events, such as Localization World, TAUS and SF Globalization
I am very excited to put my industry knowledge to the test at MIIS in a stimulating and culturally diverse academic environment.
