Originally from Hanoi, Vietnam, Thi graduated in 2020 from the International Education Management master’s program at the Middlebury Institute. Before the Institute, she completed two bachelor’s degrees—International Studies (with a focus in Political Science) and Communications—at the University of California, San Diego.
Thi’s passion for international education began while she was working as an intake advisor, English tutor, and assistant program coordinator for international students and scholars at UC San Diego. As a student at the Institute, Thi managed recruitment activities for youth engagement programs at the Center for Nonproliferation Studies and worked on a faculty-led research project examining the environmental impact of international student mobility. Most recently, she served as a program associate at WorldChicago, where she designed virtual training curricula and selected fellows for the Department of State’s exchange programs.
Coming back to her alma mater, Thi hopes to continue bringing together people from different backgrounds and building a thriving global community of changemakers. She is excited to help every student fulfill their diverse needs and succeed in their journey at the Middlebury Institute and beyond.
