The Middlebury Institute’s Office of Student Services provides opportunities each semester to promote physical well-being. In order to participate, please fill out this release form before attending any classes. This page is updated as those opportunities are finalized.

Yoga with Noemi

Instructor bio:

Noemi is an avid yogi who focuses on functional and sustainable movements. Her vinyasa-style power flows challenge through creative incorporation of breath work, core, and balance. Noemi is a 200-hr Certified Yoga Teacher and has completed two Trauma-Informed Yoga Trainings and several Recovery-Oriented Mindfulness and Yoga trainings.

About MixxedFit:

MixxedFit® is a people-inspired fitness program that combines explosive dance movements with bodyweight toning. Everything about this dance fitness program is explosive– movements are big, full-out, and our very best!

Bootcamp-inspired exercises are combined with easy-to-follow choreography for an effective, FUN, and challenging workout. No equipment or floorwork necessary. Whether you’re plateauing in your traditional dance fitness class, or you’re not the kind of person who usually goes to fitness classes but loves a good sweat set to great music, this may be just the perfect medicine.

Instructor bio:

Sarah Horowitz is a third semester MPA student at MIIS. Prior to coming to MIIS, she spent 6 years living in China as a Fulbright student researcher, community development practitioner, and freelance translator. She graduated from Macalester College (‘13) with a BA in Geography and Chinese. She currently lives in Santa Fe, NM, and finds tremendous joy in gardening, fermenting, hiking, and DANCING!

As a licensed MixxedFit® instructor, Sarah combines original, easy-to-follow dance choreographies with bodyweight toning exercises to provide a dance-party-meets-HIIT group fitness experience. She is thrilled to be able to support the MIIS community access wellness in body, spirit, and mind through dance fitness!
