Russian Choir Workshop
Enrich and expand your Russian language skills through singing, vocal exercises, and phonetics practice. Learn traditional dances and to play a folk instrument such as the balalaika or zhaleika.
New for 2023, the 1-week Choir Workshop will be taught by the members of the professional folk ensemble Zolotoj Plyos. Your week of classes will culminate in a performance alongside your instructors. Outside class you will have opportunities for conversation practice with students and faculty in our 24/7 immersion environment.
All students will sign the Language Pledge and are expected to have completed at least an academic year of Russian language study (or the equivalent) in the past. No experience with choral performance is required. Musicians are encouraged to bring their musical instruments.
Enrollment is limited to 20 students.
