I hope this finds you well and that you are enjoying a well-deserved break from your academic responsibilities and commitments.
I want to acknowledge how challenging this year has been thus far, and how the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic mean you may be thinking about the fall semester differently.
Middlebury will announce its determination about our fall format by June 22. We realize that the details of that decision, and a variety of other factors, may contribute to some of you considering taking a leave of absence from Middlebury for the fall 2020 term.
Here’s how to request a leave:
- The official deadline to take a leave of absence is July 6
- If you intend to do so, your request must be made in writing (email or letter) to your dean
- Requests made after July 6 may not be accepted
