Summer Academic Programs—Language Schools
It is with deep disappointment that we announce that the Middlebury Language Schools will not be holding our on-campus session for Summer 2020. This includes our locations in Middlebury and Bennington, along with our graduate sites in Buenos Aires and Paris.
We will, however, be offering a credit-bearing online learning experience for this summer in select levels depending on interest. The Director and faculty in your School are working to develop a curriculum that reflects the values and rigor of the full-immersion experience you expect from the Middlebury Language Schools, and they will be in touch by the end of April with information on levels and courses for your School.
As we plan for this unprecedented summer, we could use your help: please fill out a 30-second survey that will allow us to gauge interest in these online programs. For additional information on your application and the online programs, please see our Frequently Asked Questions. For graduate students, credits will be similar to the on-campus experience and students can continue toward degree completion.
The Middlebury Language Schools have been in continuous operation since our founding in 1915. The coming summer presents us with the kinds of challenges that are facing individuals and institutions around the world. We hope that you will be able to join us in the virtual classrooms we are building to bring our community together and continue the vital work of language teaching and learning. On behalf of President Laurie Patton, Dean Stephen Snyder, and the entire Middlebury faculty and staff, we wish you and your family peace and good health in these difficult times.
All our best,
Middlebury Language Schools
