The purpose of the Staff Council is to help make Middlebury (College, Institute, Schools) a great place to work. The Council is elected by the staff employees, and acknowledged by the Board of Trustees, to establish priorities and implement planning for the staff.

Staff Council Learning Lunches -- Religion
Professor Shalom Goldman, Pardon Tillinghast Professor of Religion, along with colleagues from the Religion department and the Scott Center for Spiritual and Religious Life, will be offering three lectures this fall for College employees. Spend an hour with us and learn more about different belief systems across the globe while increasing your religious literacy.
Join us in the Abernethy Room in the Axinn Center on the following dates from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.:

Responsibilities of a Staff Council representative
The purpose of the MCSC is to help make Middlebury College a better place to work. The MCSC is elected by the staff employees, and acknowledged by the Board of Trustees, to establish priorities and implement planning for the staff. The MCSC's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
A. Listen and respond to the ideas, opinions, problems, concerns, and grievances of staff employees, and consider other matters that require the MCSC's attention;
Employee Ski and Ride Days
Join fellow staff, faculty and their families at the Snow Bowl or Rikert Ski Touring Center for a day of skiing and snowboarding!
Due to warm weather and melting snow the Rikert Cross Country Employee Ski Day has been CANCELLED.

Staff Council Standing Committees
Each standing committee operates under the authority of the MSC and makes recommendations for action to the MSC. In turn, the MSC acts on committee recommendations, and reports to each committee the results of MSC actions. Listed below are the standing committees and their specific areas of responsibility:

Article I. Name
The name of this organization is the Middlebury Staff Council (hereinafter referred to as MSC).
Article II. Purpose
The purpose of the MSC is to help make Middlebury a great place to work. The MSC is elected by the staff employees, and acknowledged by the Board of Trustees, to establish priorities for the staff. The MSC's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
