Men's Cross Country Finishes Fifth At ECAC's

11/5/05 - The men's cross country team was in action last weekend at <?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Connecticut College as they competed in the ECAC Championship. Middlebury had an impressive showing, placing fifth in the 38-team race.

Pacing the team was junior Chris Pelliccia (Auburn, Maine), who finished with a time of 26:22, 1:02 off the winning pace. Finishing in 25th place was senior Baker Lyon (Portland, Ore.) with a time of 26:30, followed by first-year racer Jack Wambach (Evanston, Ill.) in 27th place in 26:31. Rounding out Middlebury's scorers were rookie William Johnson (St. Louis, Mo.) in 71st place (27:19) and senior Morgan Byrne (Epping, N.H.) in 83rd (27:34).
