Women's Cross Country Looks For Sixth Title

The Middlebury College women's cross country will take part in the NCAA Championship hosted by Baldwin-Wallace College at the Highland Park Golf Course in Cleveland, Ohio on November 21st. The defending NCAA Champions claimed titles in '00, '01, '03 and '07, with second place finishes in '99, '02 and '04. This marks the 14th straight trip to the NCAA's for the Middlebury women, with titles in five of the last nine years.

The Panthers earned their way into the national meet by finishing in a first place tie with M.I.T. at last weekend's NCAA Regional hosted by Southern Maine.

Travelling to Ohio for the race will be senior Amanda Quinlan, juniors Sophia Spring and Erin Toner, sophomores Claire McIlvennie and Elise Moody-Roberts and first-year racers Sarah Lange, Stephanie Moroney and Addie Tousley.

Sophomore Michael Schmidt will also be travelling to Ohio, earning his way into the race as an individual qualifier to represent the Panther men's team.
