Giving Tuesday

Middlebury Bread Loaf School of English will be a part of the story for #GivingTuesday, a global giving movement driven by individuals, families, organizations, businesses, and communities around the world. Since its founding in 2012, millions of people have come together to support the causes, institutions, and communities that have made a difference in their lives.

“Especially now, we need spaces like Bread Loaf to broaden minds and bring educators together, so that we can return to our classrooms energized to do the work that will need to be done in upcoming years,” said Kelsey Pitcairn MA ’16.

We ask that you be a part of the movement, for the first time ever, on Tuesday, November 29. We hope that you will share, on Bread Loaf’s Facebook page, your story of how study at Bread Loaf has had an impact on you and/or make an Annual Fund gift to Bread Loaf.  Please encourage your Bread Loaf friends to do the same.  We will kick off the posts to our Facebook page on the 29th.

“This is a moment when we need to join together to make our voices heard, to support intellectual curiosity and growth, and to celebrate the power of education to foster diversity, creativity, integrity, and respect within and across all communities,” says Bread Loaf director Emily Bartels. “I look forward to joining you next Tuesday with a gift or a post.”
