Dan Sharkovitz Publishes in NEATE Journal

Dan Sharkovitz (MA '90) published the article "On Anarchy and the Teaching of English" in the Fall 2012 issue of The Leaflet, the professional journal of the New England Association of Teachers of English.
The article argues for approaches to curriculum development that reflect the authentic, complex methods teachers actually use when they create their lessons--and against curriculum templates that many districts are adopting. Dan attributes the inspiration for the article to Reclaiming the Classroom: Teacher Research as an Agency for Change, edited by Dixie Goswami and Peter R. Stillman.
