Darleen Lev lives in New York City, one of the best places in the world for walking. Gwyneth Crost, her novel-in-progress, concerns great walks and illicit acts of compassion. A 'method writer,' she is planning to walk from Brooklyn to Wildwood, New Jersey this summer. She holds an MFA from the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop; her short stories, poems, and articles have appeared in Chelsea, Red Shoes Review, Transfer, and Modernism. In 2008 she received a Bronx Council of the Arts Chapter One prize. She teaches English at Parsons the New School for Design and Pratt Institute, and writes lyrics for Solo dos en Tijuana.
