Middlebury College Appoints Associate Director

of Public Affairs

Middlebury College has named Sarah Ray to the position

of associate director of public affairs. Ray will be responsible

for news and publicity programs.

Ray comes to Middlebury College with more than nine

years of experience in publicity and corporate public relations.

She has served as the temporary travel information chief for

the Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing in Montpelier,

the manager of public relations for Bruegger’s Corporation in

Burlington, and the associate director of publicity for Scribner/Simon

& Schuster Publishing in New York.

Ray received a B.A. in English from Middlebury College.

A resident of Shelburne, Ray is a member of the United Way of

Chittenden County’s and the Greater Burlington YMCA’s communications

committees.
