Middlebury approves 3.4 percent increase in comprehensive fee

Middlebury College has set its comprehensive fee for the 2010-2011 academic year at $52,120, a 3.4 percent increase. A new College policy limits increases in the fee to no more than 1 percentage point above the rise in the Consumer Price Index.

Presidential Address: Ron Liebowitz reports on progress, plans and a vision for the future

Creativity and optimism were the prevailing themes in a special address given Friday, February 12, by President Ron Liebowitz. The talk before a packed house at Mead Chapel reviewed the milestones that have taken place over the past 18 months to meet financial challenges brought on by the recession. Liebowitz expressed confidence and gratitude toward the faculty and staff as he mapped out a vision for the college's future sustainability.

Student Wins Gates-Cambridge Fellowship for Genetics Study

Middlebury biology professor Jeremy Ward predicts that Sky Feuer '10 will soon be one of the leaders in her field of biology research. Her recently awarded Gates-Cambridge scholarship for a one-year master's degree at Cambridge should help her on that quest.
