MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Middlebury celebrated Homecoming with a fun-packed weekend October 19-21. New this year was the addition of Panther Day (Saturday), a student-initiated project to highlight the college’s history and diversity in an afternoon and evening of events.

Student organizations and the Commons brought a colorful array of costumes to the kick-off procession, which began at the Kirk Center and wound its way to the Harvest Festival behind the Mahaney Arts Center. Later that evening students enjoyed the sounds of the funk band Harsh Armadillo at Wilson Hall.

The day was made that much sweeter by across-the-board wins in field hockey, football, and men’s and women’s soccer. The volleyball team also won in an away match at MIT.
