About Rich Wolfson

Rich Wolfson is a professor of physics at Middlebury College.

Wolfson is the author of "Nuclear Choices: A Citizen's Guide to Nuclear Technology."

His current research focuses on the sun's outer atmosphere, the corona, and coronal ejections--huge outbursts that eject solar material into space.

He was a visiting scientist at the High Altitude Observatory at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colo., for five years during the 1980s.
