Daniel Scharstein Receives His Sixth NSF Research Grant

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Professor of Computer Science Daniel Scharstein has received his sixth grant from the National Science Foundation to continue doing computer vision research with Middlebury undergraduates. The goal of this research, titled “Benchmarks and Algorithms for Mobile Image Matching,” is to provide new datasets and image matching algorithms to enable 3D reconstruction with mobile phones. At least seven undergraduate students will be supported with this grant.
