Middlebury College Hosts Celebration for Men’s

Hockey Champions

Middlebury College will hold a celebration in honor

of its championship men’s hockey team on Friday, April 3 at 7

p.m. in Pepin Gymnasium on Route 30. Members of the College team

will meet and “talk hockey” with the area’s younger

hockey players-members of the Middlebury Area Hockey Association,

and other hockey fans and friends. The College invites the whole

community to join together in a celebration of the Middlebury

Panthers’ recent record-breaking fourth straight win in the NCAA

championships. Team photos will be available and players will

be on hand for autographs. The event also will include light refreshments

and the team’s presentation of the 1998 NCAA Division III championship

trophy to John McCardell, the president of Middlebury College.

Fans are encouraged to show their team spirit and wear hockey

jerseys.

The celebration is free and open to the public.
