Professor of Economics Jon Isham has been awarded a 2016-17 Fulbright Scholar grant for teaching and research in Ghana. Isham will spend 10 months in Ghana at Ashesi University College, the first residential liberal arts college in Sub-Saharan Africa, whose curriculum features service learning, social innovation, and design thinking. At Ashesi, he will teach a course in microeconomics and in social entrepreneurship and also research the African case for social entrepreneurship in the liberal arts. Isham is currently director of the Middlebury College Center for Social Entrepreneurship.
