Middlebury’s production of American Idiot features a company of over 30 Middlebury College students, including featured work by scenic and projection designer Joseph Haggerty ’19, whose designs represent his Senior 700 work in theatre design. Direction is by Michole Biancosino ’98, who is an assistant professor of theatre. Lighting design is by Hallie Zieselman, costume design is by Mira Veikley, and properties are by Jim Dougherty. Sound technician is Eric Graham with assistance by technical director Allison Rimmer. Musical direction is by Clint Bierman ’97 of the popular Vermont band the Grift. Bierman, who cowrote “I’m on My Way” for the Shrek 2 sountrack, will play as part of the onstage band, along with the rest of the Grift, Peter Day ’01 and Jeff Vallone ’98, both Middlebury grads as well.

American Idiot will be performed Thursday, May 2–Saturday, May 4, at 7:30 p.m. in Wright Memorial Theatre on the Middlebury College Campus. The performance runs approximately 95 minutes with no intermission. For mature audiences.
