Students earned master’s and doctoral degrees, and CBS News foreign correspondent Clarissa Ward urged graduates to use their language skills as “precious passports” into other cultures.

The two schools will co-host a send-off event in Montpelier before the student teams head to California for the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon.

Students of foreign languages will receive master’s and doctoral degrees, and Clarissa Ward, the CBS News correspondent in Egypt and Syria, will deliver the commencement address.
The new eatery will be managed by Sushi with Gusto, a South Carolina-based company that has similar partnerships with other colleges and universities.
Best-selling author and Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference faculty member Cheryl Strayed will give a reading Aug. 20. This event is one of many free readings and lectures that the public is invited to attend.
Saura has won numerous awards in a career spanning more than half a century.
Over the next three weeks, a total of 84 students will receive Master of Arts degrees at the Bread Loaf School of English’s four campuses.
