MIDDLEBURY, Vt. — From January 6 through April 19, the College will display 10 new Andy Warhol prints in the Overbrook Gallery. The prints, a recent gift from the Warhol Foundation, include several of Warhol’s most iconic images, including a soup can and Chairman Mao. The show also features portraits of Sitting Bull and Ingrid Bergman as a nun in the film, “The Bells of St. Mary’s.”

With these new prints, the College has doubled the size of its Warhol collection. Chief Curator Emmie Donadio says the timing for this exhibition offers a perfect complement to an upcoming exhibition of street artists this spring that will include works by Banksy and Shepard Fairey.

In this video preview, museum curatorial intern Danny Zhang ’15, who researched each print for the exhibition labels, and Donadio give some highlights of the Warhol show. For more information about the exhibition and upcoming shows at the museum, visit the Middlebury College Museum of Art web site.
