Global Medical Training (GMT) Information Session

Information will be provided about Global Medical Training (GMT). The Pre-Medical Society is planning a trip in the Spring. GMT is an international, non-profit, and humanitarian organization that provides free medical and dental services in developing communities in parts of Central America and Mexico. Students that go on a GMT trip are given the unique chance to directly observe diagnoses and treatments performed by medical professionals, even helping ask questions and take vital signs after being trained. As a health-focused organization, our main purpose is to increase awareness of the lack of healthcare, and systemic issues such as poverty, in third world countries by giving undergraduate students the chance to expand their understanding of life and medicine outside the United States. Attending the trip would also give you an opportunity to have a substantial positive impact on underprivileged communities in other areas of the world.
