ENVS 0401 B Community Engaged Environmental Studies Practicum Presentations: Rural Communities and Climate Change.
In this Howard E. Woodin Environmental Studies Colloquium Series talk students in ENVS 0401 B will present their work from their semester long projects.
Students in ENVS 0401 B will partner with a range of organizations in Vermont communities to research current actions and plans by Vermont rural communities. Given the past 10-20 years of planning and organization, what have communities done and how have they learned from those policies and actions? Students will research a range of communities from outside Vermont and analyze current approaches and variations in regions across the country (and perhaps further) to place Vermont communities in full context and understand the current landscape of community-based policy and action regarding energy, adaptation, and protection and support of vulnerable communities.
