Reflection on COVID-19 through an Environmental Health Lens

The Rohatyn Center for Global Affairs Program on Global Health Challenges presents “Reflecting on COVID-19 through an Environmental Lens” by Kate Crawford, Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies at Middlebury College.

The societal and health impacts of the corona virus pandemic cannot be overstated and we know that already disadvantaged populations have been disproportionately affected. But what role is environmental quality playing in the pandemic? I will provide an overview of existing and future research as we consider links between environmental health and COVID-19. We will also explore how environmental health contributes to the pandemic’s unequal burden on disadvantaged members of society.
