The Rohatyn Center for Global Affairs Global Fellows Program presents “Interactive Peacemaking and Coordination in Complex Peace Processes” with Susan Allen.

Informal contacts can pave the way for formal peace negotiations, strengthen the implementation of peace agreements, and support broader peace processes. Drawing on her extensive experience as a conflict resolution practitioner and her scholarship as a peace researcher, Professor Allen will present examples of interactive peacemaking and coordination efforts in contemporary peace processes, illustrating how people-centered approaches can help build more durable peace.

Susan Allen is the Henry Hart Rice Chair of Conflict Analysis and Resolution, Professor of Conflict Analysis and Resolution, and director of the Center for Peacemaking Practice at George Mason University’s Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution.
