Ofrenda Building Workshop

Join us for one of our Dia De Los Muertos 2024 events, the annual Ofrenda Building Workshop hosted by Professor Olga Sanchez Saltveit. This session features a step-by-step lesson on building an ofrenda to honor loved ones who have passed, as well as cultural contexts regarding the use of the altar and the celebration of Dia De Los Muertos. The ofrenda will remain for the community until November 3rd, so please feel free to bring pictures of your loved ones to place on the ofrenda! Light refreshments will be served.

First Gen Day Community Meal!

National first-generation day is a call to celebrate students, faculty and staff who are the first in their family to pursue a four-year undergraduate degree in the United States. November 8 was identified as the date for the annual National First-Generation College Celebration to honor the anniversary of the signing of the Higher Education Act of 1965.

We invite First Gen faculty, staff, and students to come join us Friday for a community meal!
