Community Friends

Mentors and their mentees will gather at the Center for Community Engagement (CCE) to celebrate the end of the academic year! There will be delicious food, carnival style games, and a number of activities out on the lawn of the CCE

Mentors and mentees will gather at The Knoll to have a picnic and play outdoor games such as hula hooping, catch, parachute, relay races, and more!

Mentors and Mentees will travel around campus for a scavenger hunt and participate in fun activities led by our board members. There may even be a pot of gold to hunt for!

The Community Friends Club will host a Winter Carnival in which mentors and mentees can build snowmans, drink hot chocolate, play games outside on Battell Beach, and work on winter-themed arts and crafts indoors in Coltrane Lounge.

Mentors and their mentees will spend time together playing fun games together, led by Community Friends organizers. Activities will include hula hooping, jenga game, relay races, as well as arts and crafts.

Mentors and their mentees will gather at the CCE to enjoy Halloween-themed activities, games, snacks, and desserts. Mentors and mentees are welcome to come join in on the fun, anytime between 1pm and 3pm! 

The Community Friends Club will be hosting a fall scavenger hunt throughout the day on Sunday, October 8. Anytime between 10am and 5pm, each mentor and their mentee can pick up their first clue at the CCE and follow the remaining clues around campus; each stop will have a fun activity! The CCE will be the “home base” and “end base.” 

The Community Friends Club leadership will lead a training for mentors to refine their skills, ask questions, and gain support from other mentors and the Community Friends leadership team. 

The Community Friends Match Day is an event in which children from Addison County are matched with Middlebury College students who serve as their mentors. Children and their families will gather at Kirk to meet their new mentors and hear a presentation about the program and its guidelines. Included in the event will be time for outdoor activities, crafts, as well as light snacks provided by Community Friends.
