The financial sector is an increasingly important part of the TILM market, but there’s a lot of different stakeholders in the financial sector, and some of the terminology is confusing: hedge funds don’t really hedge, investment banks don’t really invest… or bank. We’ll be sorting out who does what and why, and where TILM professionals might get involved. Excel Workshop Series with MBA-IEP Alumnus Kevin Morenzi October 26 - Excel’s Secret Functions: This workshop can be for students of all levels, but it will be focused on learning how to use some of the secret functions that are now standard add-ins for the newest version of Microsoft Office. We will use data analysis tools, create stunning visuals, and learn how to use add-ins. Location: CF442 PAC LAB

This workshop will cover how to build Pivots from scratch, how to use them and manipulate the data and how to create powerful dashboards. Location: CF442 PAC LAB

Excel Workshop Series with MBA-IEP Alumnus Kevin Morenzi September 28 - Advanced Formulas: The students who will benefit from this workshop will already have experience using Excel and have created formulas, understand how to use basic functions, and want to learn more powerful tools. We will focus on understanding absolute and relative reference, VLOOKUP, INDEX + MATCH, and how to embed formulas within formulas. Location: CF442 PAC LAB
