Distance communication and collaboration are a big part of the work we do at Middlebury for students, faculty, and staff. A collaborative project is underway to evaluate alternative platforms to our current web conferencing platform: Adobe Connect. We’re hosting an information session about Zoom, a popular web conferencing platform that is being considered for adoption. Anna Santos (MPA ‘16) and Katie Barthelow (MPA/MAIEM ‘16) will share their experience over J-term hosting a digital storytelling workshop for youth in Coco Solo, Panama. The evening will end with a screening of the movie the kids made through the workshop.

Middlebury is just beginning to embrace its complexity as a source of strength and as a competitive advantage. Despite the possibilities, we face challenges with the multi-dimensional ways we must work together across parts of the institution.
