Free Heelers

Gear hours are the main meeting of the Free Heelers! During this time we will help any interested party check out skis, boots, skins, and poles for back country skiing! Meetings are held in the Gear room which is located in the same place as the bike shop and SKIGA rental location. ALL GEAR IS 100% FREE!!!!! Have questions about skiing or telemark skiing? Come celebrate the start of the snowy season with the Free Heelers and have all those questions answered! This event is intended to be a space both for people to connect over a love of playing in the snow, as well as for folx who may not know a lot about the sport to learn more about it. ANNOUNCING THE 1st ANNUAL GOBBLE HOBBLE! This ~2 mile, 800’ vert trail race or walk up the Voter and down the Proctor is FREE and will be held Sunday, November 1 from 9am-2pm. The Gobble Hobble (sorry, we just like saying it) aims to get students, faculty/staff members, and their families out on the trails in the off-season for a bit of Worth Mountain fun!
