IW | Conversations: Borders

Borders demarcate and determine not just movement, but the way we make sense of life. What borders exist in our daily lives and how might we simultaneously reinforce some while crossing others? What does it mean to “cross” the border? We will grapple with these questions through the lens of music and sharing conversation, to better understand ourselves and others.

Monthly Monday Tea: Identity: Nationality and Locality

Our monthly discussion lounge where we watch videos, read articles and review other materials and discuss their impact on our individual lives and our global experiences.    About Taiye Selasi’s TED Talk Rather than identify with a country, writer Taiye Selasi chooses to identify with localities — local places and cities where her diverse range of experiences have helped shape her many identities.
