Rukmini Callimachi: From Refugee to Front Page Journalist

Join the MCAB Speakers Committee for its Spring Speaker Event with New York Times foreign correspondent and three-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Rukmini Callimachi. A subject of terrorist chatrooms, U.S. congressional committees, and foreign security departments, Rukmini Callimachi has become the go-to reporter on the Islamic State. WIRED called her “arguably the best reporter on the most important beat in the world.”

Doors open at 6:45 PM. The event is free and open to the public.

Join MCAB for two nights of scares Friday, October 26th & Saturday, October 27th from 8:30-11pm. The house will consist of a 10 minute guided walking tour through Wilson Hall and McCullough. Plenty of treats (popcorn, candy, hot drinks, cider donuts) available at the end for those who survive. TRIGGER WARNING: MCAB’s haunted house is for mature audiences; there will be scary moments, blood, and mayhem. Please use your own discretion in deciding if this event is appropriate for you.
