Cyro Baptista's Banquet of the Spirits

Brazilian percussionist Cyro Baptista has performed on five Grammy-winning albums and toured with the likes of Yo-Yo Ma, Trey Anastasio, Herbie Hancock, Sting, and Paul Simon. In Middlebury, he leads his winsome quartet—Banquet of the Spirits—on a virtuosic trek through Afro-Brazilian beats with improvised jazz, akin to a carnivalesque stew of joy and irreverence.
