In the fall of 2024, the New Perennials team—with input from students and community partners—designed and launched the Community Roots Apprentice Fellowship (CRAF). This project creates a cohort of five Middlebury College students who apprentice with five practitioners drawn from local Middlebury nonprofits, community organizations, and businesses. Over the course of ten weeks (approximately 25 hours), students connect with well-rooted Vermont practitioners who share their crafts and skills in a low-stress, off-campus setting.

Join the EcoReps and the Living Building Challenge SSL (Sustainability Solutions Lab) interns for a festive night flexing your architectural skills (in cookie-form, that is!) and creating gingerbread house masterpieces!

Join EcoReps for a pumpkin decorating event, get excited for fall, and make some festive decor for your dorm!

Pumpkins, snacks, and materials will be provided. All are welcome- bring friends or come and make new ones :)

Bring damaged jackets, bags, or other outdoor gear to Gifford Lawn for free professional repairs from Maine GearShare. Attendees can observe the repair process, learn which fixes are most effective, and connect with student groups focused on outdoor access and sustainability. This event is open to everyone and encourages reducing waste through reuse and repair.

Drop off gear in need of repair, then connect with student orgs (MMC! EcoReps! FIRE! Weybridge! New Perennials!) about how to get outside!
