In honor of Earth Week, Bike Club is offering their repair services, as well as sharing knowledge about the importance of biking to reduce your carbon footprint. Bring your bike for any checkups or repairs it may need, come learn about biking, and grab some free snacks.

In partnership with the Center for the Blue Economy, we are excited to invite the entire MIIS community to IEP’s Sustainability Happy Hour for Earth Day. A FREE plant-based dinner will be provided, and we will have a guest speaker.

Come learn about projects and ideas from your fellow MIIS community members, get FREE Revival plant-based ice cream, and share with others your ideas to incorporate more sustainability on our campus.

Have you wanted to get more involved in combating the climate crisis, but don’t know where to start? Look no further. This Earth Week activity will involve making posters to raise awareness about the climate crisis. It will also be an open & welcoming space for discussion, questions and processing of what can sometimes be an overwhelming and confusing issue. Coming together to create art is the first step towards change. In any successful movement in the past, poster making, and art was essential. It’s now time for the climate movement.

Coffee is recognized by all as a popular drink. Independent of who you are, coffee has a history that has evolved with humans over millennia. Come meet Jaime and learn about his journey as a first-generation coffee grower. All who participate get to enjoy some specialty coffee straight from their family farm in Colombia!

Brought to you by Student Services and funded by MIIS Student Council, take home your own little piece of the MIIS Garden in a cute pot that you can paint yourself! All succulents will be propagated from the MIIS Garden, and we will provide pots, paints, and tips on how to keep your new plant well.

Come make your own DIY Lavender Bath Bomb! In partnership with the MIIS garden and funded by the MIIS Student Council, we will be getting some much-needed fresh air and making some awesome de-stressing supplies that you can take home!

There will be a reception at Samson following the Spring Commencement ceremony at Colton Hall.
