COVID-19: Essential Information

Chellis House

The Feminist Resource Center serves as an informational, educational and cultural resource for the students, staff and faculty at Middlebury College. The May Belle Chellis Resource Center is located in Chellis House (behind Proctor).

Organizations that use the space for meetings, workshops and social activities include Queers and Allies (Q&A), Feminist Action at Middlebury (FAM), It Happens Here, Stop Traffic, and the Sister-to-Sister and Brother-to-Brother Programs.

The Resource Center also contains a diverse collection of books relating to feminist studies in the Alison Fraker Library. The library is open to any student and offers a quiet place to study. The Center has a living room and is available to any students looking for an alternate place to study, chat, or have coffee with friends.

By serving as an educational and cultural resource, Chellis House aims to provide a forum for the advancement of women’s and gender issues at Middlebury College.
