Middlebury College Musical Players to Perform

“Godspell

The Middlebury College Musical Players

will perform Stephen Schwartz’s dynamic musical, “Godspell,”

on March 12-15 in the College’s McCullough Student Center on Old

Chapel Road, off Route 30. “Godspell” is the third annual

production presented by the Musical Players, a student organization.

Based on the Gospel of St. Matthew,

Schwartz’s vibrant musical portrays the life and teachings of

Jesus Christ. The cast performs a variety of parables with modern

twists, singing and dancing their way through many well known

songs: “Save the People,” “Day by Day,” and

“By My Side.”

Performances of “Godspell”

will take place at 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 12 through Saturday,

March 14, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 15.

Tickets are $5 for adults, and $3 for

children, students, and senior citizens. Tickets will be on sale

at the door before each performance, at the Student Activities

Office in the McCullough Student Center on Old Chapel Road (off

Route 30) from March 2-8, and in Proctor Hall on Hepburn Road

(off College Street/Route 125) from March 9-13. For more information

on the show or to reserve tickets, contact the Musical Players’

student administrator and producer, Anna Benvenuto, at 802-443-6545.
