“Resilient Organizations Resilient Leaders”

to be Topic of Lecture by Ithaca College President on Oct. 28

Dr. Peggy Ryan Williams will present a talk on

leadership and change, titled “Resilient Organizations Resilient

Leaders,” on Thursday, Oct. 28 at 4:30 p.m. Williams is an

expert on women’s leadership issues and president of Ithaca College

in Ithaca, N.Y. She is the first woman to hold this position.

The event will take place at Middlebury College in Room 216 of

Bicentennial Hall, on Bicentennial Way off College Street (Route

125). The lecture is free and open to the public.
Dr.Williams’ teaching and research interests

include organizational behavior, leadership, and labor relations.

She is a frequent guest presenter, regionally and nationally,

on topics ranging from academic computing to humor in management.

Before becoming president of Ithaca College, Dr. Williams was

president of Lyndon State College in Lyndon, Vt.
Dr. Williams’ visit to Middlebury College was

coordinated by several campus organizations, including Staff Council,

Faculty Council, and the women’s and gender studies program, as

a signature event of the newly initiated Women in Leadership Forum.
