MIDDLEBURY,
VT
- Sumit Ganguly, professor at the University of
Texas' Center for Asian Studies, will give a lecture titled
"India and Pakistan's Nuclear Rivalry" on Monday, October
15, at 4:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Middlebury
College Center for International Affairs on Hillcrest Road
off College Street (Route 125). The event is free and open
to the public.

"Sumit
Ganguly is a distinguished professor and prodigious scholar
of international affairs, ethnopolitics, nationalism, and
regional security in South Asia," said Middlebury College
Professor of Political Science David Rosenberg. "His topic
is timely and important in the wake of the Sept. 11
terrorist attacks on America."

Ganguly's
most recent books include "Language and Politics in Asia,"
