Professor Molly Anderson presented a keynote speech and served on a panel at the bi-annual Food Conference: Perugia, an international scholarly meeting on June 9-12 whose theme was “Perspectives on Food and Landscapes.” Anderson’s speech was titled “Who has the Power to Build a Sustainable Global Food System?” She is currently developing a new Food Studies program at the College, where she teaches classes on hunger and food security, fixing food systems, and sustainability. Anderson is also interested in bridging the concerns of academics and community-based activists.

The conference was organized by the Umbra Institute.
