The story of Anne Frank is familiar to many and here there is an opportunity to have a new insight into this very personal story of the life of a girl under the Nazi regime that may shed new light on it and on the life of others under similar circumstances.

Tuesday, April 9^th  Brown bag lunch and discussion with Aya Gallego (’13): "Race in Brazil"

All are welcome to this brown bag lunch in which Aya Gallego, a senior IS/Latin American Studies major, presents her research on race in Brazil. Aya will explore the ways in which Brazilian national identity, and more specifically the myth of Brazil as a racial democracy, has been constructed so as to exclude racism from the discourse, despite the fact that it is visible in all spheres of society. Aya became interested in race and social inequity last year in Brazil while studying abroad. We hope you can join us for this important conversation.
