Business Intelligence Analyst

Jackson Yang graduated this past May with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Math. Shortly after, he started working full time as a Business Intelligence Analyst at Wayfair. More specifically, he works on the Web Analytics team, and is the lead analyst for the website's Visual Search product that uses Machine Learning and Computer Vision to improve features across the site. He looks forward to discussing BI in general as well as how it's leveraged at a larger scale tech company!

IBM Watson, 
Engagement Leader

Rachel Liddell works at IBM Watson as an Engagement Leader. She connects cutting edge, complex technology to clients’ business needs, delivering more than 200 presentations annually, touching hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue, and driving sales across industries and business units. To do so, she brings together her knowledge of the IBM Watson platform, her understanding of industries ranging from financial services to health to retail, and her ability to connect with C-suite clients from across the globe.

Rachel majored in Literary Studies at Middlebury and graduated in 2015. While a student, she delivered a TEDx talk in the fall of 2014, she served as SGA President during the 2013-14 academic year, and she was a host and producer of the Moth-UP for several years. She also worked in the Admissions Office throughout her time at Middlebury, and she found her job at IBM through a connection she made as a Senior Fellow.

MIT Sloan, 
MBA Candidate

Dan Crepps '12 is an MBA candidate at MIT Sloan that has successfully transitioned from management consulting to the technology industry. After graduating Middlebury in 2012 as an International Politics and Economics major, Dan worked in management consulting for four years at Alliance Consulting Group. Dan then shifted to the tech industry by pursuing his MBA at MIT Sloan, where he became actively involved in the Tech and Product Management Clubs. Dan then interned at TripAdvisor as a Product Manager, and will join Wayfair as a Sr. Category Manager in the summer of 2018.

Head of YouTube Core Ad Formats

Jamie (Herther) Crepps helps advertisers achieve business results on YouTube by leading global product strategy for YouTube video ads. She manages a team of 4 people based in Boston and San Francisco. She started her career at Google in sales almost 8 years ago as an Account Manager for hospitals and fitness brands. Since then she has had the opportunity to work in many different roles and on a variety of products, including Google+, display ads, and video creation tools. Jamie graduated summa cum laude from Middlebury with a degree in economics in 2010. She lives with her husband, Dan (also a Midd kid!), in Beacon Hill in downtown Boston.

Aaron Krivitzky (AK) is a technology professional with areas of expertise in Data, Analytics, HTTP APIs, Web Application Frameworks, Cryptography, and various emergent mobile technologies.

Product Manager

Stefan Claypool graduated from Middlebury College in 2009 with a degree in Economics and Chinese. He earned his MBA at Cornell University in 2013, where he focused his studies on strategy and innovation in the technology industry. He is currently a Product Manager at PayPal in the P2P team, where he is responsible for developing a range of products and features for both consumer and merchant customers, in addition to leading the team's efforts to expand into new countries. He is also a three-time Grammy Award-winning percussionist and two-time National Novel Writing Month winner. He currently lives in Berkeley, California with his wife Cynthia (Middlebury Class of 2012).

Principal Software Engineer

Peter Jacoby '01 has worked in software engineering since graduation from Middlebury with a major in computer science. He has worked in various roles in healthcare, consumer electronics, and biomedical research. He is passionate about helping to use technology to improve organizations and the people they support.

Global Head of Policy Programs

Victoria Grand’ 95 majored in Political Science at Middlebury.  After graduating from Middlebury, Victoria worked with Teach for America as a first grade teacher for two years before moving on to an education consultant role with Education Partners.  After earning her JD from University of California’s Berkeley School of law, Victoria worked for a law firm as a Litigation Associate, representing clients in trade secret, fraud, business tort, real estate, and contract disputes.  After a few years as an attorney, Victoria found her way to Google as the Global Head of Policy, Communication, and Public Affairs.  After several years with Google, she moved to Facebook where she is Global Head of Policy Programs at Facebook.  At Facebook, Victoria leads a team that develops programs, leveraging the power and reach of Facebook to promote economic growth, civic engagement, beneficial uses of data, and speech that fosters tolerance and understanding.
