For Current Updates on COVID-19:

Funding for your experience can come in many forms and from many different places, on and off campus. There are three main sources of funding described on this page:

  • Funding through CCI offices (for Middlebury students)
  • Funding through other Middlebury offices (for Middlebury students)
  • External non-Middlebury sources

See the links below for the range of resources to help fund unpaid internships, attend conferences, complete your service projects, participate in international volunteer programs, perform public service projects locally, and more.

Funding Sources at Middlebury (campus-wide)

Many offices on campus support student participation in a range of summer opportunities through information, advising and funding.

For a full list of funding sources for current Middlebury undergraduates, visit go/summer.

Internship Funding

The Center for Careers & Internships (CCI) provides funding for unpaid summer internships and self-directed projects on a competitive basis. Please read the Internships Funding FAQ section carefully for the detailed information you need. Funding applications are due in early April; you must have secured your internship before applying for funding.  If you still have questions, come to Quick Questions or make an appointment to to talk with a career advisor.
