The Beckman Scholars program, founded in 1997, is a national program to support research activities by exceptional chemistry, biochemistry, biological and medical science students sponsored by the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation in Irvine, CA.
The Middlebury Program
The Middlebury program consists of a Beckman program faculty (see list) mentored student research project that takes place over a summer, the academic year, and then a second summer. The scholarship will support a student in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular, or developmental biology. The student will work with the faculty mentor 40 hours a week for ten weeks each summer and 10 hours a week during the academic year.
