John Waldron

John E. Waldron ’91 is the president and chief operating officer at Goldman Sachs. He is a member of the Goldman Sachs management committee and chair of the firmwide operating committee, the enterprise risk committee, and the reputational risk committee. He also serves on the executive committee of the Institute of International Finance; on the international advisory council of the China Securities Regulatory Commission; on the U.S.-China Business Council; and on the international advisory panel of the Monetary Authority of Singapore. He has extensive leadership experience, serving on the boards of the Cleveland Clinic, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, and the Lawrenceville School, which he attended. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and is on the advisory board of the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. At Middlebury, he has been involved with campaign planning and has served as an alumni advisor to the president.
