Porter Medical Center (PMC) has announced that Cheryl Mullins, director of Human Resources at Middlebury, will join the PMC board this summer.

Mullins will serve as one of three appointments from Middlebury as outlined in the PMC bylaws. She will replace Patrick Norton, Middlebury vice president for finance and treasurer, who has accepted a new position at Tulane University. Also from Middlebury are board member Kim Downs-Burns, associate vice president for Student Financial Services, and Jim Keyes, former vice president for the Office of Advancement.

At Middlebury, Mullins leads the Human Resources staff to ensure an environment of collaboration and partnership among all members of the institution’s community. She also is responsible for policy development; strategic planning; legal compliance; staffing management; HR forecasting; and program development for Middlebury College, the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, and related schools and programs.

The PMC Board is currently comprised of 20 members who serve as volunteers to set the strategic direction of the organization and provide governance oversight to all areas of operations for Porter Hospital and Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. More information is available on the Porter Hospital website.
