Rich Wolfson Receives Grant from Sloan Foundation
Professor of Physics
Rich Wolfson, Benjamin F. Wissler Professor of Physics, was awarded a grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation for a book project titled Nuclear Choices for the 21st Century: A Citizen’s Guide. This book, co-authored with Dr. Ference Dalnock-Veress of the Center for Nonproliferation Studies at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, is an update of Wolfson’s 1993 book with a similar title. The goal of the project is an authoritative, unbiased, reader-friendly book for the general public that will engage its readers and challenge them to form their own opinions on the complex technological and policy issues of the nuclear age. The book is under contract with the MIT Press and is scheduled for publication in 2020.
